1st Annual International Conference Guidance and Counseling
Annual International Conference (AIC) is an international conference hosted by Guidance and Counseling Department, Faculty of Education and Teacher Trainning, Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The theme was chosen concerning on empower educators and learners to see the social world differently and through an ethical lens in guidance and counseling – education, so that they will challenge and change the status quo as agents of change in society post pandemic. New conditions have raised new requirements both in education – guidance and counseling therefore, new knowledge is needed to maintain it’s relevance and sustainability. Both teachers and learners became the agent of revival in education post of COVID-19 pandemic and the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 especially on education area achievement.
Related to these issues, AIC call partisipants paper with subthemes: Sub tema: 1) safe space for student to ensure sustainability development, 2) Innovative guidance and counseling post pandemic, 3) innovative Learning models, 4) student mental health, 5) coping with learning loss, 6) teacher readiness both remote teaching and classical, 7) professional counselor, 8) student decision making, 9) help seeking behavior post pandemic among students, 10) digitizing counseling in education, 11) managing guidance and counseling services post pandemic, 12) dealing with crisis situation at school, 13) design, implementation & assessment of innovative technologies in education – guidance and counseling, 14) education, sustainability & society: social justice, development & political movements, 15) assesment theories & methodhology in education or guidance and counseling, and 16) character strengths in primary, secondary, and higher education.
This conference call all participants to create and present an impactful idea which can be applied especially for Indonesian. This conference will provide a network for sharing experiences and knowledge between teachers, students, academician, and education observers. The first Annual International Conference (AIC) which conducted in this year will set up a target regarding participants among Indonesia. These participants can be involved as the presenters on the oral and paper presentations or can be attended as registered participants. This conference will be set up online schemes to ensure the participants’ accessibility to being involved in this event.
In addition, the scientific paper collected from the potential participants will be reviewed by some reviewers who already have a good acknowledgment of ensuring the quality of chosen papers. The successful paper will be published at the 1st AIC registered conference proceeding indexed by atlantis press (with special requirements) and selected papers published in International Journal of Applied Guidance and Counseling (IJAGC) https://ejurnal.mercubuana-yogya.ac.id/index.php/IJAGC/index.
